![]() |
To enter into the world of audio and live broadcasts, you must first download the FREE RealPlayer from the RealNetworks website. Because your web browser, , does not know how to deal with audio it passes that information on to the RealPlayer software that you must install and it plays the sound for the web browser.
After you click the icon below for your operating system you will begin downloading the appropriate software. Here is where it gets interesting, if you have MS Internet Explorer it will ask you if you want to Save it to a File or Run It. Choose Run It and it will make things MUCH simpler for you later. If you are running Netscape or something else your exact steps may vary a little and we have included further instructions below.
When you click on the link to download the software, make a note of where you put the file on your system... you will need that information later during the installation process. Here are some basic instructions on the best place to save it, the description may not exactly match your system, but it should be close.
- Windows 95/98/2K/NT- When you click on a site to download it from, a dialog box will open asking you where you want to save it, select the pulldown box near the top and save it in the folder named 'Desktop' then click on the "Save" button.
- Mac OS 8.1+- When you click on a site to download it from, a dialog box will open asking you where you want to save it, click on the button labeled 'Desktop' and then select "Save".
